Brooke Anderson, P.E., General Manager

Brooke Anderson is the General Manager of Etowah Water and Sewer Authority, a position he has held since 2006.  Prior to joining the Authority, Mr. Anderson has held several leadership positions with the City of Gainesville Public Utilities Department.  Since joining Etowah Water and Sewer Authority, Mr. Anderson has guided the expansion of the water treatment facility, water reclamation facility, conversion to a fixed base meter reading system, and improvements to the water system, sewer system, operations, and customer service.

Mr. Anderson is a passionate advocate of the water industry and its responsibilities to customers, communities, economic development, and the environment.  He has been an active participant in the development of Georgia’s State-wide Water Management Plan.

Mr. Anderson is a member of American Water Works Association, Water Environment Federation and the Georgia Association of Water Professionals.  He is also the Chairman of the Small to Medium Systems Committee for the Georgia Association of Water Professionals.  His is member of the Legislative Committee for the Georgia Association of Water Professionals.  Mr. Anderson is currently serving as Chairman of the North Georgia Water Resources Partnership.  He was also appointed by Governor Nathan Deal to serve on the Coosa-North Georgia Regional Water Planning Council.

Mr. Anderson earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering Technology from Southern Polytechnic State University in 1997.  He is also a registered professional engineer in Georgia. Mr. Anderson is a graduate of Georgia Academy for Economic Development’s Regional Economic & Leadership Development program and the University of Georgia’s Leadership Dawson County 2008 program.  In 2012, Mr. Anderson was honored with the Chamber of Commerce’s Don Gordon Business Leader of the Year Award. In 2014, he was honored with the Georgia Association of Water Professionals’ Alva Storey Award and the 5-S Award.

He and his wife Carrie have two children, Grace and Samuel.

 


Tim Collins, Assistant General Manager

Tim Collins, Assistant General Manager

Tim Collins is the Assistant General Manager of Etowah Water and Sewer Authority, a position he has held since January 2012. Prior to joining the Authority, Mr. Collins has held several leadership positions with the City of Gainesville Public Utilities Department. He brought 30 years of experience in the water and wastewater profession including utility and building engineering and construction, comprehensive financial planning, operations management, capital improvement program management, project management from inception to completion, retirement systems, customer service, and master planning.

Mr. Collins is a seasoned veteran of the water profession and feels a very important part of our mission is to bring accountability and be accountable to our customers and the community, and be good stewards of our environment.

Mr. Collins is a member of American Water Works Association, Water Environment Federation and the Georgia Association of Water Professionals.

Mr. Collins earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering Technology from Southern Technical Institute in 1986. Mr. Collins holds a Georgia wastewater collection system operator and water distribution operator license.

Mr. Collins and his wife Nan have three children, Jordan, Rachel, and Thomas.
